Abstract
- Time discrimination methods of pulse signals serve as the foundation for ranging, identification, and precision in pulse Lidar. Therefore, employing a judicious time discrimination method is pivotal in enhancing Lidar overall performance. This study initially delves into the theoretical distinctions among various time discrimination methods, including constant fraction timing, waveform centroid, dual-threshold waveform, and amplitude with rising edge compensation timing. It meticulously analyzes and compares these diverse methods for time discrimination. Subsequently, employing these methodologies to process Lidar echo signals to contrast their time measurement accuracy. The conclusions will provide valuable guidance for the design and practical application of pulse-type Lidar systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
