Avaliação radiográfica na identificação de pneumonia em Periquito-da-caatinga (Eupsittula cactorum): relato de caso.

The Psittacidae family is made up of several species. Among the native species in Brazil, the Caatinga parakeet (Eupsittula cactorum) is found abundantly in the Caatinga and Cerrado biomes. In the respiratory system, there are certain structural particularities, this system represents a significant target for infections or impairment related to creation, with radiology being an important tool in the evaluation of these anatomical structures and in the diagnosis of pathologies. Thus, the use of radiography in monitoring a case of pneumonia in a Caatinga parakeet was crucial in determining its progression. After the prescribed treatment, a second radiograph was taken, and, together with the clinical evaluation of the animal upon return, it was confirmed that the treatment was effective.
