Dating Abuse.

The article reports that nearly 60 percent of the teenagers who participated in a recent survey said they know a fellow teen, who has been physically, sexually, or verbally abused while in a relationship. The online survey conducted by Teen Research Unlimited, a Northbrook, Illinois-based market-research company that specializes in studying teenage trends and behavior, polled 683 young people ages 13 to 18. It found that 12 percent of adolescent girls said they had been physically struck by their partners, 26 percent said they'd been verbally abused, and 18 percent said they had been threatened with physical violence after trying to end a relationship.
