Abstract
- This article discusses the use of the JNET classification system in predicting the histology and submucosal invasion of large non-pedunculated colorectal polyps (LNPCPs). While Japanese endoscopists have achieved accuracies of over 84% with JNET, European experts have struggled to replicate these results, with an accuracy of only 55%. The study compares JNET with a novel tool called CRIS (Colorectal Regular-Irregular Score) among Western experts. The results show that both JNET and CRIS have similar overall accuracies, suggesting that JNET may be simplified for non-experts. Additionally, framing the interpretation of both systems in a clinically relevant fashion can increase their specificity. [Extracted from the article]
