Abstract

The article discusses the introduction of the AH-64E Guardian attack helicopter to the British Army Air Corps. The AH-64E is a new generation attack helicopter that offers upgrades to its weapon systems, including the AGM-179 Joint Air-to-Ground Missile. It also retains many of the survivability features of its predecessor, the Apache AH1, and has improved agility and integrated networks for enhanced situational awareness. The AH-64E was declared ready for frontline duty after completing Exercise Iron Titan in October 2023. [Extracted from the article]
