- The article discusses the partnership of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) with United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS) to provide Lean Green Belt courses to the company's industrial engineers. Topics discussed include UPS' organizational culture which is committed to continuous improvement, the role of Paul Odomirok and Elizabeth Cudney as IISE lead instructors in the UPS program, and the benefits of the Lean Green Belt training on UPS engineers.
