Abstract

Thomas Geerlings, founder of Framework Studio, has restored a former warehouse from the 1700s in Amsterdam and transformed it into his own home. The building, which was originally a wine storage facility and later a shoe factory, required extensive renovations due to its poor condition. Geerlings worked closely with the City of Amsterdam's Monuments and Archaeology Department to ensure that the restoration adhered to historical preservation guidelines. The home now features a mix of contemporary art, furnishings, and finishes, creating a unique blend of old and new. [Extracted from the article]
