Abstract
- This article describes a case of Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) in a 24-year-old patient who also had autoimmune glial fibrillary acidic protein astrocytopathy (GFAP-A), a rare autoimmune condition of the central nervous system. The patient experienced symptoms such as fever, headache, and seizures, and was initially treated with various medications before being diagnosed with FMF and GFAP-A. Treatment with immunoglobulin and steroids led to significant improvement in the patient's condition. This is the first reported case of FMF with concurrent GFAP-A in an adult.
