Zoledronate for hip fractures: the road towards achieving consensus.

The authors comment on a study which advocated for greater use of zoledronate as first-line antiosteoporosis treatment after a hip fracture. Cited are the things that make zoledronate an attractive therapeutic option, the six recommendations put forth by the study to address some of the clinical uncertainties that act as barrier to zoledronate's use, and the strengths and limitations of the study.
