Abstract
- A 46-year-old man with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (NET)/high grade metastatic gastrinoma exhibited a lack of efficacy during treatment with everolimus and octreotide. Despite receiving everolimus therapy, his condition remained refractory. He was then started on octreotide infusion to decrease gastrin and ectopic ACTH production, but there was no response even after 5 days. The treatment was switched to a subcutaneous injection form, and eventually, the patient showed improvement after receiving temozolomide. The patient also received steroids and ketoconazole to manage other comorbidities during his hospital stay. [Extracted from the article]
