Abstract

A 65-year-old man developed myositis with myocarditis while being treated for metastatic renal cell carcinoma with ipilimumab and nivolumab. He also experienced lack of efficacy during treatment with immune-globulin and unspecified steroids for his condition. Despite receiving hydration, steroids, and IV immune-globulin, his symptoms worsened and he developed respiratory muscle weakness, tachyarrhythmias, and bradyarrhythmias. Unfortunately, he ultimately died due to myositis with myocarditis. [Extracted from the article]
