Abstract
- A 60-year-old man developed fulminant myocarditis while being treated with pembrolizumab for renal cell carcinoma. He presented to the emergency department with chest pain and was diagnosed with ST-elevation myocardial infarction. Despite normal electrolyte levels and non-obstructive coronary artery disease, he remained hypotensive and required vasopressors. The diagnosis of pembrolizumab-induced fulminant myocarditis was made based on his symptoms and investigational findings. He was treated with high dose steroids, but his condition worsened and he ultimately passed away. [Extracted from the article]
