Profit maximization for the consumers in a smart irrigation system in the presence of renewables.

For proper monitoring of irrigation system, a smarter way of looking into this is very necessary. In this paper a smarter irrigation system is proposed which can monitor the moisture level of the crops and according to that feed the water to the different crops in the field. This smart system is comprising with an Arduino board alongside with a moisture sensor. Alongside with the smart irrigation system implementation of the renewables is also added here, Pumps are being feed by the PV system for maximizing the profit in electricity bill for the farmers. Electricity bill without using the renewables and with renewables is compared here, considering the installation cost of the PV system. Battery storage system is also considered for the intermittent nature of the renewable energy. By implementing solar customer benefit is also shown in this study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
