Abstract

A case series published in Reactions Weekly describes a 9-year-old girl with various medical conditions who developed transient neutropenia while receiving daratumumab treatment before a heart-kidney transplant. The girl had DiGeorge syndrome, repaired tetralogy of fallot/patent ductus arteriosus, end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis, heart failure, severe epistaxis, and thrombocytopenia related to Evans syndrome. After receiving rituximab and IV immune-globulin with therapeutic plasma exchange, she started daratumumab infusions but experienced transient neutropenia as a side effect.
