Abstract
- The article provides history lessons about activism and social movements as reflected by the student protests against Israel's war in Gaza at U.S. university and college campuses. It looks back at the 1960s civil rights movement, the free speech protest at the University of California, Berkely in 1964, the anti-Vietnam war protests, the 1970-1990 anti-apartheid movement, the 2011 Occupy Wall Street student movement, and Black Lives Matter Movement from 2012 to 2020.
