Abstract

To analyze the efficiency for hexagonal antenna and compare with rectangular microstrip patch antenna by changing the sweep frequency range from 1GHz to 3GHz. For the hexagonal and rectangular innovative patch antennas, the efficiency for resonance frequency is 2.4 GHz using FR4 substrate material. Two groups are considered and sample size is calculated. The data collection with 2 groups, 16 samples and a total of 32 samples has been calculated with G-power 80%. The rectangular patch antenna with mean efficiency obtained value is 0.58324 dB and hexagonal patch antenna with mean efficiency obtained value is 0.42652 dB. The significance value of frequency and efficiency is obtained as 0.463 (p>0.05) respectively. The maximum efficiency is a rectangular microstrip patch antenna. In this study, the rectangular innovative patch antenna with the frequency of 2.4GHz has a high efficiency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
