Abstract

In the article "High-Performance Hydrogel-Encapsulated Engineered Exosomes for Supporting Endoplasmic Reticulum Homeostasis and Boosting Diabetic Bone Regeneration," Yulan Liu, Mingliang Zhou, Xinquan Jiang, and their colleagues propose a new therapeutic platform for diabetic bone regeneration. The platform consists of a high-performance hydrogel and engineered exosomes that help maintain endoplasmic reticulum (ER) homeostasis and accelerate bone regeneration in diabetic conditions. This therapy effectively regulates stress and functional changes caused by hyperglycemia, creating an optimal environment for osteogenesis. The research shows promise for clinical translation.
