Abstract

The Tempe Tribune, a community newspaper in Arizona, has been relaunched by Steve Strickbine, the president of Times Media Group. The newspaper, which ceased publication in 2009, now delivers to over 20,000 readers every Sunday and has a digital edition that reaches over 25,000 readers. Strickbine, who has a background in accounting, started his first newspaper, Valley Times, before acquiring other publications and expanding his media group. The executive editor of Times Media Group, Paul Maryniak, emphasizes the importance of providing excellent journalism and covering local stories in each city and town. The relaunch of The Tempe Tribune has been well-received by residents and businesses, and Strickbine is focused on promoting the digital edition of the newspaper. Times Media Group also hosts various events throughout the Phoenix metro area. Strickbine believes in the value of saving local journalism and bringing news and truth to the communities they serve.
