Operations Abroad of the Bundeswehr.

This article provides a glimpse of the international operations carried out by the German Armed Forces, which is also known as the Bundeswehr. Since its beginning, the Bundeswehr has contributed to more than 130 operations for peacekeeping, humanitarian support and disaster relief. Since 1990 it participates in the entire range of international operations under the umbrella of the United Nations Charta and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Since February 9, 2002, the Bundeswehr is deployed in Kuwait on combat and support readiness status.
