Abstract
- A 78-year-old man with non-small cell lung cancer developed myocarditis while being treated with pembrolizumab. He also experienced fatigue and worsening kidney dysfunction during treatment with carboplatin, pemetrexed, and bevacizumab. After discontinuing the latter treatment and receiving betamethasone, he experienced severe fatigue and dyspnea on exertion, leading to a diagnosis of acute heart failure. The man was treated with ACE inhibitors and beta-blockers, and his symptoms improved. He was later diagnosed with myocarditis secondary to pembrolizumab and treated with prednisolone, which significantly reduced his symptoms. After reinitiating bevacizumab therapy, his cardiac function did not worsen and his overall condition improved. [Extracted from the article]
