Abstract

A 74-year-old man with multiple myeloma (MM) experienced cytokine release syndrome while being treated with idecabtagen-vicleucel. He also showed lack of efficacy with pomalidomide, daratumumab, carfilzomib, and venetoclax. The patient had been diagnosed with lambda light chain (LC) MM and had undergone various treatments, including plasmapheresis, induction therapy, stem cell transplantation, and second-line therapy. Despite these interventions, disease progression continued. CAR T-cell therapy was planned, but the patient developed cytokine release syndrome as a side effect of idecabtagen-vicleucel therapy.
