Abstract
- This article presents an analysis of the perception of school and educational managers on the implementation of the Single Shift policy in Rio de Janeiro. Based on semi-structured interviews with these actors, this article presents their view of the processes for its implementation, the concepts of education present in the policy and its objectives. This qualitative study is based on the results of the research carried out at Unirio from 2019 to 2021. From the analysis of the interviews and the observation of legal documents on the implementation of the Single Shift, based on the perspective of Theme (FONTOURA, 2011) for data analysis, we perceive in this policy a different outline from the previous ones, leaving of the more focal and compensatory vision, and bringing a universalist look. Despite mentioning some points that need attention, the policy is well regarded by the actors involved and has potential expansion expectations for the entire Network. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
