Abstract

The article provides an overview of the space-based sensor capabilities of China and India in the Indo-Pacific region. It highlights the tensions between the two countries, which have led to an increase in military presence and a focus on enhancing space-based capabilities. China has made significant advancements in its military space capabilities, including the development of weapons systems that can target and disrupt space assets. India, on the other hand, has been focusing on developing its space-based capabilities for reconnaissance, surveillance, and meteorology. The article emphasizes the importance of space as a force multiplier for combat capabilities and calls for the strengthening of counter-space capabilities to safeguard space assets.
