Abstract
- The collection of SuperDARN ionospheric echo data to make ionospheric convection maps is of great significance for Space Weather research. The ionospheric echoes for SuperDARN are generally mixed with scatter from the ground or sea surface, thus the clustering analysis of SuperDARN backscatter echoes is important. In this paper, the first implementation of deep clustering based on the graph automatic encoder network is efficiently realized for classifying the SuperDARN data. In addition, the model is compared with the traditional algorithm and machine learning clustering algorithms. Application of the model to sample data reveals that the deep clustering algorithm can capture the structural characteristics of the echoes and improve the accuracy of echo clustering and classifying.
