Abstract
- The article focuses on the warning by defense lawyer Brian Gross to plastic industry executives at a conference in 2024 to prepare for a wave of costly lawsuits related to perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), the chemical that has emerged as one of the major pollution issues of the time. Cited are the association of PFAS to serious health risks, and the move of the U.S. federal government to regulate the chemical and to remove PFAS in drinking water.
