Abstract
- A 65-year-old man developed myocarditis and myositis while being treated with ipilimumab and nivolumab for metastatic renal cell carcinoma. Despite receiving treatment with immune-globulin, methylprednisolone, and mycophenolate, he experienced a lack of efficacy and his condition worsened. The man initially presented with weakness and was misdiagnosed with rhabdomyolysis. Laboratory tests revealed elevated levels of potassium, creatinine, and creatine phosphokinase. He was later diagnosed with myocarditis and myositis secondary to the medications. [Extracted from the article]
