Abstract

A forthcoming conference will address the topic of "Companion canine nutrient contributions to peri-urban environments," exploring the tangible benefits that dogs can offer to cities. However, tensions may arise during the conference due to restrictions on dogs being allowed on the beach in the host city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In another story, a biologist named Kees Moeliker rediscovered a preserved corpse of a Danish black-headed gull that had become trapped in a freshwater mussel in 1952. The gull had not been killed by the mussel but had been shot, and the specimen was found in a museum collection in Denmark. Lastly, several research papers published in Iran discuss the "rule of negation of the mustache" in international relations, which is a mistranslation of the Arabic word for "a way" being confused with the Persian word for "mustache." The influence of these papers on diplomatic relations remains to be seen. [Extracted from the article]
