Abstract
- This article discusses the use of a mosque as a surge capacity facility during the Covid-19 pandemic in Iran. Due to limited healthcare capacity, a mosque in Neyshabur was repurposed into a clinic for triage patients. The clinic operated for 30 days and admitted up to 800 patients per day. The article highlights the advantages of using religious sites as additional treatment venues, such as parking availability and suitable physical structures. It also emphasizes the importance of teamwork, safety standards, and utilizing healthcare professionals from universities and volunteer organizations. The article concludes by emphasizing the need for preparedness and planning for future outbreaks. [Extracted from the article]
