Abstract
- This article discusses a new method for synthesizing π-conjugated polymers using a ruthenium-catalyzed C-H arylation polymerization. The method involves using visible light irradiation at room temperature, resulting in high yields and high molecular weights of the polymers. The article also explores the use of photochemistry and C-H activation in polymer synthesis, highlighting the advantages of using light energy for mild reactions with high chemoselectivity and functional group tolerance. The document presents a study on the ruthenium-catalyzed polymerization of phenyloxazolines, investigating reaction conditions, reactivity of different arylbromides, and the synthesis of terpolymers. The research demonstrates the potential of ruthenium-catalyzed polymerization for various applications in polymer chemistry. [Extracted from the article]
