Abstract

A 41-year-old man developed antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis while being treated with propylthiouracil for Grave's disease. He presented with skin ulcers, fevers, and elevated inflammatory markers. The man also developed pancytopenia and was found to have positive ANA, MPO, and PR3 antibodies. Biopsy confirmed leukocytoclastic vasculitis, and he was later diagnosed with diffuse alveolar hemorrhage. The patient received treatment with steroids and hydroxychloroquine and was discharged after two weeks of hospitalization. [Extracted from the article]
