Abstract

A 50-year-old woman developed cholestatic liver injury while being treated with trastuzumab for stage 4 invasive ductal breast carcinoma. She had extensive metastases to various organs and was admitted with worsening hyperbilirubinemia and transaminitis. After receiving trastuzumab infusion, her liver function worsened, and she experienced jaundice. The diagnosis of trastuzumab-associated cholestatic liver injury was made, and she was treated with ursodeoxycholic acid, which improved her condition. She did not receive trastuzumab again after this incident. [Extracted from the article]
