Abstract

This paper chapter studies the dynamic modeling and nonlinear control problems in electrical network integration of wind farm system with Synchronous Generators. So, comprehensive models of various components of this system are presented. Then, the nonlinear control of the inverter and rectifiers are introduced. The Sliding Mode Controllers (SMC) are designed to maximize the extracted power from turbines, to maintain a stable voltage of DC-bus for the inverter and to regulate the powers injected into the network. The control equations have been giving. Theory of Lyapunov stability has been utilized to evince the regulators stability. The efficiency of the control techniques is validated with simulations in MATLAB/Simulink. The proposed method reveals better results than VC technique under different network power voltage conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
