Abstract
- The article features Tenjen Lama Sherpa, a mountaineer who was killed while serving as a guide on Mount Shishapangma. Lama could not read or write but he wanted his sons to get the best education. Gina Marie Rzucidlo, who was trying to become the first American woman to climb the world's tallest mountains had hired him as guide but on October 7, 2023, avalanches broke loose on Mount Shishapangma in Tibet and both of them were killed.
