Abstract

This document discusses the development of a fluorescent probe, called compound 22, for the cannabinoid CB2 receptor. The probe was designed to visualize the receptor without the need for a toxic copper-mediated reaction. It demonstrated reasonable affinity for the CB2 receptor, selectivity over the CB1 receptor, and acted as an inverse agonist. The study also highlights the potential impact of small structural changes in compounds on the functional behavior of the CB2 receptor.
