Abstract

This article discusses the synthesis and characterization of a thermally stable monoruthenium acetylide radical species. The researchers examined the reactivity and properties of metal acetylide complexes, specifically focusing on mononuclear ruthenium acetylide radicals. They found that the choice of metal center and ligands significantly influenced the reactivity of these complexes. The researchers were able to isolate and characterize a mononuclear ruthenium acetylide radical species, which exhibited high thermal stability. This study provides insights into the design strategy for controlling the reactivity of radicals in metal complexes. [Extracted from the article]
