Abstract
- The article presents a study on trends in estrogen therapy (ET) use from a sample of ambulatory care visits to evaluate co-prescription of ET and sedating potentially inappropriate medications (PIMS) and assess whether ET was a marker for polypharmacy in women aged 65 and older. Topics include demographic and clinical characteristics of 2006-2016 ambulatory visits, prevalence of estrogen prescribing in ambulatory visits, and association between ET and polypharmacy.
