Abstract
- In this study, we use numerical methods to investigate how two rows of asymmetrical barriers (triangular, half-circle, and rectangular) affect heat transport and the friction factor penalty inside a channel. Represented by the Reynolds number range of 500-2500, vertical flow rate is the driving factor. The calculations are performed assuming a constant heat flow. The tests use ANSYS FLUENT 21 to determine the heat performance of each set of channels. In order to provide a fair comparison between the three scenarios, we'll use the obstacle height (h=8mm) as our starting point. The largest pressure increase and friction factor values were seen in the case of triangular obstacles, which also resulted in the best heat transmission outcomes at the price of a large pressure differential. We compared our results to those of prior research and found a high degree of concordance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
