ENGAGING TRUSTEES: IN EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT.

The author recounts the engagement of the board of Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) in the development process of their highest chief executives who report directly to him such as the chief financial officer, chief customer experience officer, chief diversity equity and inclusion officer, and chief community engagement officer. He discusses the importance of executive leadership development to any organization, characteristics of CML's trustees, and internal strategies of CML.
