Abstract

The concept of Chakras, or Force Centers, is central to Lok Purusha Samya's theory of the infinite universe. These centers are considered loci of life energy or Prana, and are linked to the cycle, circle, and wheel within all humans. The Vedas, particularly the Yoga Upanishad, have significant references to Chakras, which are considered vast pools of energy in human bodies. According to Ayurveda, Chakras are psychic centers present in the subtle body, acting as a bridge between physical existence and the limitless potential of pure consciousness. The subtle body contains energy channels called Nadis, which carry Prana, which flows through these channels and collects in Chakras. Shatchakra Nirupana is a system of six Chakras in the subtle human body, including Muladhara, Swadhisthana, Manipura, Anahat, Vishuddha, and Ajna Chakra. These Chakras are located at regular intervals in various portions of the spinal cord, with the Sahasrara Chakra being the most important. Sthana of Muladhara Chakra and Swadhishthana Chakra is Ling and Gud which can be correlate with inferior hypogastric and sacral plexus. Sthana of Manipura Chakra is Nabhi and is represented by solar plexus. Hrudiya is the Sthana of Anahat Chakra and it is represented by cardiac plexus. Sthana of Visuddha Chakra is Kantha and is represented by cervical plexus. Sthana of Ajna chakra is between eyebrow and it is Avyakta (union of Prakriti and Purush) hence not related to any plexus. These are directly related to physiological as well as physic centers so it is very necessary to explore this yogic knowledge for our physical, mental and spiritual well-being..
