Abstract

To achieve Germany's 2045 goal of climate‐neutral building stock, the integration of renewable energies in retrofitting is necessary. The project 'CO2‐neutrales Welterbe Speicherstadt Hamburg' situated in the historic warehouse district, focuses on the sustainable heat supply in listed buildings. The project consists of two main approaches: a practical approach combining historically sensitive components for heat supply to create a comprehensive energy retrofitting concept with renewable energies in the listed area, and a methodological approach using Building Information Management (BIM) to integrate various simulation models and centralize outcomes efficiently. This enables a holistic and energy‐efficient retrofit, addressing flow‐specific, thermal, and ecological aspects, thereby marking a significant step toward achieving a CO2 neutral listed building stock.
