Abstract
- This article, titled "The role of age‐associated alpha‐synuclein aggregation in a conditional transgenic mouse model of Parkinson's disease: Implications for Lewy body formation," explores the development of a transgenic mouse model to study the role of α‐synuclein (α‐syn) in the progression of Parkinson's disease (PD). The study found that at 9 months of age, significant α‐syn aggregation was observed in dopaminergic neurons, highlighting the importance of age-associated accumulation of α‐syn aggregates in PD progression. The findings suggest a potential mechanism for the development of Lewy bodies in PD. The full article can be accessed for further information. [Extracted from the article]
