Carboplatin/Paclitaxel/Trastuzumab: Lack of efficacy.

A 20-year-old woman with recurrent mucinous carcinoma of the left ovary exhibited lack of efficacy during treatment with paclitaxel, carboplatin, and trastuzumab. After undergoing fertility sparing surgery, the cancer relapsed and spread to various areas. Despite the addition of trastuzumab to her treatment, her cancer continued to progress.
