Abstract
- CdMnSe Quantum dots were synthesized in reverse micelles with the dot sizes controlled by the water content for the first time. The optical properties of QDs samples with various dot sizes and Mn2+ concentrations were studied both in solution and thin film samples. The electron spin resonance study clarified that both substitutional and surface Mn sites were present. The abnormal temperature behavior of the photoluminescence was believed to originate from the combination of the Mn2+ related emission with the excitonic emission. © 2005 American Institute of Physics [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
