Abstract

This article explores the potential end of Europe's reliance on the United States for security and prosperity. It discusses the changing global dynamics, including Russia's aggression in Ukraine and the possibility of a war in the Middle East. The article features the perspectives of nine experts and emphasizes the need for Europe to develop its own geopolitical power. It highlights the potential consequences of a Russian victory in Ukraine, the importance of strengthening defense capabilities, and the need for increased defense spending and coordination among European NATO members. The article also mentions the significance of maintaining a strong alliance with the United States and the potential implications for Britain. Europe is facing challenges in a geopolitically turbulent world, including economic stress, energy supply decoupling, and uncertain trade prospects. It needs to address vulnerabilities, focus on growth, strengthen its defense industry, and rethink its relations with the non-Western world. Overall, Europe must confront the challenges of war and rearmament in a new reality. [Extracted from the article]
