Getting to the Core of Stroke.

An editorial is presented on the evolving use of endovascular treatment (EVT) for patients with acute ischemic stroke and large vessel occlusion. Topics include the efficacy of EVT in extending the treatment window, the inclusion of patients with large ischemic cores in recent studies, and the challenges in defining a "large core" and identifying patients most likely to benefit from EVT.
