Abstract
- This document is a comment letter published in the Journal of Virology. It discusses the presence of HSV-1 LAT (latency-associated transcript) in non-neuronal ganglionic cells of mice and humans. The authors respond to a reanalysis of their data that claimed no LAT in non-neuronal cells, highlighting concerns about the reanalysis methodology. They argue that their study and a repeated scRNA-seq experiment provide ample evidence for the presence of LAT in non-neuronal cells.
