Abstract
- The article presents the discussion on Palmer projectile point, named after Palmer Mountain near the Hardaway site in North Carolina, dating back to the Early Archaic period around 9,500 to 8,000 BP. Topics include identified Palmer points as predecessors to Kirk Corner Notch points, noting their distribution across the North Carolina Piedmont and neighboring region; and characteristics, distribution, and evolutionary relationship of Palmer points.
