Abstract

The article reports on the theft of copper electrical wiring from streetlights across the U.S. amid the demand for copper and other metals. Cases of metal theft include at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Carson, California, the Sixth Street Bridge in Los Angeles, California, as well as in St. Paul, Minnesota. It informs about the initiative in Los Angeles, California to combat metal theft and the law signed in Minnesota requiring people selling copper scrap metal to obtain license.
