Políticas Públicas de Turismo: Uma Análise da Evolução do Planejamento da Regionalização nos Planos Nacionais de Turismo.

Planning public policies translates into choosing some actions instead of others, which, consequently, will impact on the economy and society. The present research aims to analyze the planning and development of the Tourism Regionalization Policy on the National Tourism Plans of Brazil. The analysis covers the period of the four National Tourism Plans released between 2003/2022 and it was carried out through documentary and bibliographical research in books or scientific articles related to public policies and touristic planning. It was found the use of different methodologies for the elaboration and to structuring of the National Tourism Plans, resulting in documents with diverging structures, which may interfere with the evaluation and comparability of results. Even though there is not an alignment between one instrument and another, it is observed that the regionalization policy is widespread in all of them. However, there is a lack of evaluation of the results achieved in relation to the strategic goals and actions expected in each Plan focusing on the consolidation of the Tourism Regionalization Policy.
