Abstract

The article substantiates the importance of documentation as a primary and vital component in the process of systematizing experiences. The practice implemented in “Narrar mi Ciudad” (“Narrate my City”) is taken as an example: an audiovisual literacy project for heritage rediscovery that we developed with adolescents from Extremadura. The planning and recovery of all the written and audiovisual sources obtained during the project form the basis for reconstructing, understanding and learning from the processes experienced. From a qualitative perspective, bibliographic-documentary research, participant observation and synthesis analysis articulate the methodological strategy followed to arrive at the results. The conclusions reaffirm the importance of documentation as an essential process of systematization of experiences that must be carried out in a constant and planned manner. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
